anyone dare to...
    #1710470 - 07/13/03 12:26 AM (20 years, 9 months ago)

alot of poeple get the sense that reality is entirely a construction in thier head when they trip.

i was wondering if there were any brave souls with excelent karma who would dare to trip with the intention of creating a new world in thier head to permently live in.

you know what i mean? take a big dose of something, and actively set out to leave this world for good.

sucess would mean you don't post when you said you would, you could come and tell us about the trip if you failed.

any non cowards among us? :P

Sounds like The Wall.

Goodbye cruel world
I'm leaving you today
Goodbye, goodbye, goodbye

Goodbye all you people
There's nothing you can say
To make me change my mind
Goodbye

No, it's not for me hehe.

Well, I'm a fiction writer and have a complete universe prepared with an awesome world in it. Actually, I might try as you're suggesting since I'm familiar with the world I've already created. But first I'd have to have alot more tripping experience. Something to think about for the future though.

I think he meant either mentallly disassociate yourself from this world, or try and get your 'spirit' to leave this world.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking. I wouldn't try it now, by any means, but it might be worth exploring when my days are drawing to an end anyway.

The only negative aspect to achieving a goal like that would be the bad press given to the drug itself. In no way would your death be blamed on YOU if you accomplished it, but the psychedelic you were on at the time. That's assuming it's possible, though.

yeah, because after you leave this world your body would be left behind, and you might not be able to keep living in your new reality of you body was not sustained

i don't imagine you'd die. perhaps just your mind would leave your body (i've had that happen a bunch of times, but i've never actually left my body like astral projection when i tripped)

i read a thing the other day, talkin about how they are now doing studies that show that conciousness does not reside in the brain, people have been concious with their entire brain shut off... might have something to do with that

I know a guy that is permafried. He can no longer read or write because everything moves ( he can but has severe trouble). He also thinks hes God half of the time. Last year he got arrested for doing doughnuts in the median of I-35. He was a genious before he was throw into a continual trip. Funny thing is now he makes his living as a carpenter.

It could work if you meditated for 3 days, then ate 600mg of Mescaline, an hour later 25g of dry shrooms with some Maoi. Wait half an hour
then have some Ayahuasca brew and finaly smoke smoke some DMT on the third hour. But where you might end up could be worse than this place. Still be a bit of a giggle though/

50 years from now your ego will be so big there's no way you'll want to do that.

Insert an "I think" mentally in front of eveything I say that seems sketchy, because I certainly don't KNOW much. Also; feel free to yell at me.

This kinda reminds me of that film Identity, Its about a Skitzo mental paitent who has diffrent personailitys, and one of them is a killer.
The killer is basicaly killing off his other identities in the skitzos own world in his head. Which he thinks is the real world and is unaware of a real existence. Pretty trippy film.

conciousness is understood by people to be an outside force. (people like the dali lama). it resides above your head as kind of a glow. some sort of multidimentional thing.
a lot of buddists try and achieve higher conciousness for years by meditating all the time. like tibetan monks. you can also achieve it by doing spiritual drugs but only if you do it in a certian way. you cant eat some shrooms, drick some beer go to a party and expect to feel euphoric.
i think it is possible to "leave your body" but it is not perminant. all you are really doing is achieving a higher level of conciousness.
