Preservation and Storage
    #1711824 - 07/13/03 05:45 PM (13 years, 9 months ago)

Hello all,
I have a bit of a dilemma I was wondering if you could help me with. I ordered a Gow Box (http://www.amazing-nature.com/info/3200.htm) some time ago and unfortunatly they had some set backs and the order was only processed recently. Because I am leaving the country, I ordered it under the impression that it would arrive with enough time for me to make use of the goods. I changed my mind and decided not to risk it, I requested a cancel on my order (twice). However, I just received word that it has been sent regardless (apparently they did not receive my emails or something to that effect).
What should I do if it arrives too late for me to use it. It is a Grow Box so I am concerned about the method in which I can store it to preserve the mycelium. I am away for two months. Would storing it in a refridgerator the best plan? What other options do I have?
Please offer me some ideas, I am desperate I don't want to have to scrap the whole thing!
Thank you.

Outside? I think I'll jsut put it in a sterile bag and leave it in the fridge for the two month duration.

Fridge would prolly be the best. Worst thing is it dries out; it shouldn't fruit in two months in the fridge.
