Some of my recent artwork
    #17037817 - 10/15/12 08:04 PM (11 years, 4 months ago)

Work was dead today and I was extremely bored.  So I busted out the old sketchbook and went to town.  Then for the hell of it decided to mess around with the wannabe photoshop program that came with my camera.  I never try to draw anything specific, different shapes and patterns that coincidentally look like things.  Just thought I'd share(Original on the left, photoshop on the right)

looks kool man. the photoshopped one came out pretty good too.

the first pics reminded me of the mind and how crazy it can be. the second ones remind me of the head ornaments the aztec warriors would wear.

That really inspires me to pick it up again.  I'll take that to heart.

Was just looking at some aztec art and it does share some similarities, that's really interesting.  Like I said I don't base my art of anything. I just kinda get in the zone and go on almost autopilot.

Mark my words I'll have something else really cool posted here soon.

I snapped a shot with my camera and the orange/yellow color is just an effect I put on to make it pop a little

very nice

you could scan your drawings, blow them up and sketch over certain pieces of it, re-scan, and keep doing that over and over, then sell it as a morphing .gif w/framed sketches as well

Yep, I'm slowly working on filling up the sketchbook.  Im planning on doing a larger scale project, maybe a surreal painting. I have all kinds of supplies saved up, just sort of fell out of the hobby for a while.  Thanks for the inspiration

So I have a surreal scene I've been thinking about.  Just did a couple of very brief rough sketches in order to figure out the lay out.  I'm picturing a little girl kneeling down admiring a mushroom.  I intend to have an underground view of the mycelium from the mushroom she's picking.  It'll be rhizomorphic mycelium that'll blend from an underground view into a space scene that includes stars and the earth.  The earth will be surrounded with all different mushrooms- morel, various amanitas etc.

After I have the scene planned out I'll do a proper sketch.  From there I'll use paint and or pastels.  Probably a mix of things.  Then a final version on canvas.

I was on tramadol, stuff gets me jived up.  Lots of energy and motivation to get lost into a project.  I've never tried adderall, heard a lot about it.  Had a friend who used to love to :snort: it
