I love this shit. You see how simple that heat sink is? Now of course you can't over clock with a heat sink that small. But anyone who's built a pc with a huge tower of mordor type heat sink knows that those heat sinks can sometimes come in 20 pieces, they get fairly elaborate. This heat sink just basically snaps on, I'm sure it needs a back plate under neath the board, but you put the processor in the heat sink with the correct corner with the triangle fit in to match the socket correctly, then put the cooler fan on, then screw the board in on the mounting screws, and you are ready for the rest. Put in the ram, expansion cards if you are missing on board i/o, screw power supply into tower, match up interfaces on main board with cables, then finally the terabyte drive if you are smart, preferably a hybrid drive, then boot chose boot device and install OS, preferably after booting partitioner and creating two partitions, and chose the swap space. Install drivers and enjoy.
I guess I should say, if you got the right memory, and internet connection is good, and no need to start ipconfig ing and pinging and shit then you are good to rock on line, after you install warfighter or the next best fps out or what not of course

I used to get all hetup over processor cooling. I still have a zalman reserator up in the loft (just needs a modern cpu block. I had it back when I had an athlon 2500 barton/athlon fx55, then core 2) but these days I just use the artic freezer pro. £15, no fancy mounting brackets, runs quiet and does the job.

I've bought so many of these in the past few years. Just no need for anything else really.

I have an H60 too, I bought it because I wasn't much interested in the fan controller on the H80 or H100 and wanted to try the PWM fan that the H60 came with... In retrospect I wish I had got the H100 and just bought some Cougar Vortex PWMs to use w/o the controller, but I hadn't researched much into alternative fans when I put in the order...

I just got the H60 as a combo deal, bought the mobo, CPU, cooler, RAM, 60GB SSD and 24" monitor from a work friend for $500.. crazy killer deal. Especially considering they were only 2 months old, and he had put MAYBE 15 hours of use in them.
I popped a High Speed 3200 RPM Delta PWM fan on the radiator. All the other fans in the case are going through a fan controller.

Nahh, no need for raid 0 (striping) as I don't do video editing, and no need for raid1 (mirroring) as I'm not doing "mission critical" bollox.
I have a 60gb ssd with windows on, and a 500gb hybrid drive for games and everything else.
I've never heard that fan get noisy on my system. It has spun up when playing saints row 3, that's about it.

Nice, does sound like a steal man... Over all can't complain w/ the H60, just didn't realize I'd want better fans than stock when I bought it... really wish I knew which fans I wanted for a good balance between noise & performance, but everyone interested in cooling is so wildly opinionated on the matter... a lot of people on overclockers.net end up having bought every fan on the planet before deciding on ones they can tolerate, and I'd rather not do that lol... for the moment my quiet computer strategy is just stuffing my tower in my closet, which works quite nicely but def. raises my temps a bit in the summer.

Yeah There's a million opinions on fans. But I think it's generally agreed that Delta, Sanyo Denki, Yate Loon and some Scythe... gentle typhoons? are among the most respected. Deltas are hardcore air movers, and loud as a motherfuck. Yate loons are cheap but good quality.

yah a lot of people really like the gentle typhoon ap-15s, they're not PWM but can be modded for it. a lot of people say they're very quiet even at max rpm, then others say they make an annoying whine.. noise is pretty subjective, for me it's not necessarily how loud a fan is (to an extent) but if the air moving is a soothing sound or an obnoxious one. at about $25 per fan give or take once sleeved and shipped, I'd kind of like to hear them myself first before plunking down on a pair... pretty much everyone in this city is way up apple's ass though, i don't really know any PC enthusiasts who have 'em to check em out.

I see no point in it personally.. and I have to support it when it doesn't works on our GPUs and 3D issues are annoying to troubleshoot, but it's more of an Nvidia problem.
Although I've played 3D gaming on tons of different setups, I don't really like it at all. I mean yeah it makes Crysis 2 or whatever look really cool, but that lasts for about 10 minutes before it gets old and I start getting a headache. I prefer gaming on regular monitors. 2D Surround and playing across 3 monitors? Sure. 3D Vision is kind of lame IMO, but I dunno maybe some games are better with it than others? If you are all about the crazy graphics then I guess it may be worth it for some but I'm more about the gameplay

I feel dead island, fallout 3+new vegas,RAGE and elder scrolls would be nice to play in 3D. Cannot wait for "3d motion virtual Reality"
if they ever work it out while im alive

oh, you mean like steroscopic vision. I thought people were talking about 3d like 3d images, doom, descent, newer stuff.
I actually like steroscopic when it's done right. Get a 3d viewmaster and some of those old reels and you'll see what I mean.
The current way with polarised screens and flickering images is headache inducing. We needs holograms.
