Evaluating a strain is a lengthy process.
How fast your isolation recovers from the shock of inoculation. How fast your mycelium grows. How strongly the mycelial mat grows. How long it takes from colonization to fruiting. How many primordia form and grow into full fruits. How much does primordia formation decrease on your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th flush and how many flushes do you get...etc...etc
Like I said make backups of your work because you could come across a strain you think is amazing then find out it is genetically unstable. (a couple grows down the line and the mutants appear or primordia formation because fewer and fewer)

Awesome! thanks, seriously. I was thinking of doing a little isolating, Going from the first plate and then to a second and maybe a third and eventually cloning my fastest growing, strongest and largest fruits.. Thanks again man.

Agar is where it's at.
I am on a third transfer of this Penis Envy plate and really like the sectoring I'm getting. In fact I've just taken a couple spots to a 4th transfer.

Beautiful pics! Here are some of my own:
Mazatapec, 3rd transfer. Isolate? I'm not good at being able to spot them yet.
Penis Envy, 3rd transfer. Isolate? Unsure again.
Z-Strain, 3rd transfer, isolate.
Z-strain, 3rd transfer, looking all sorts of crazy.

Ive tried 10 attempts with petri dishes. all contamed. Idk what I should do. I cant get a single mycelium specimen... Always contamed
