First Flush First Grow EQ *Pics*

Okay, time for my faery godmother's very own bragging thread. She did 12 jars, they were basically PF-Tek jars.

5/27 - Innoculated 12 half-pint jars with EQ syringe from sporemagic.

6/3 - First signs of mycelium growth.

6/21 - 8 jars 100% colonized

6/23 - Cold Dunked/shocked 4 jars, Cold shocked 2 jars, and left the other 2 alone (decided to experiment a bit)

6/24 - Cased the jars in 4 containers, 2 per container. Put them in 2 rubbermaid tubs.

7/1 - Pins :laugh:

7/3 - First signs of ugly green mould on the non-dunked, non-cold shocked casing. Salt, Bleach/Water solutions don't hinder it's growth.

7/8 - First flush starting to mature (I didn't patch case). Picked the first of the first flush.

7/9 - Removed the contaminated casing after replacing at least half of the top casing layer. I suppose I could have tried harder, but oh well. Maybe I can find a place to put it outdoors.

7/11 - Most of the first flush is picked, just a few more need to grow a bit bigger. The second flush has already pinned and looks to be well underway to a great flush.

When the first flush is fully harvested and dried, I'll post the first flush yield.

Like I said, it was basically a PF-Tek. They were cased with a 50/50 peat/verm mix for bottom layer, then the cakes, then 2 of them had a straight peat top layer, and the other two had a 50/50 peat/verm top layer.

Ate ~25 g fresh, had minor effects. Going to try more today or tomorrow though, I'll post the results.

How'd I do? :laugh:

P.S. The dates are close estimates. I didn't document every single thing, but the dates are pretty close to when the things actually happenned. Also, the pictures were all taken at one time, not throughout the duration of the first flush. A few had been harvested already.

Also, I'd like to thank everyone here. And shroomery.org. Without doing research and reading posts, I don't think I would have made it. You guys rock :crazy2:
