contaminated ? newbie needs a pro opinion

This was put in a jar about 2 weeks ago and in the terraium for 1 week now ..
no pins no shrooms but hella white stuff :laugh:

What do you think .. the hars are looking good , this one was WAY faster than the rest

Looks like your humidity might be a bit high, but otherwise it looks healthy.

Lower humidity a bit. Drop your temperature and introduce light.

Under optimum conditions, expect to see pins within your first week. Again, optimum conditions. There are often too many variables for an accurate time frame.

I'm not an expert by any means, but that looks like healthy mycelium to me. What happens when you don't lower the temperature and have a really high humidity in a fruiting chamber, is the mycelium doesn't know it's time to start fruiting and stop growing so it continues to grow, forming aerial mycelium. Don't be alarmed if you go for a few weeks without pins, I have waited over 2 weeks before. Using Thai strains they take a while, but with standard EQ's or B+ or something 1 weeks is enough.

it could take AWHILE for pins to form... days, weeks, months, years... ok.. well maybe not months or years.... but it can FEEL like MONTHS... :smile:

make sure to give it alot of fresh air.... ive noticed that helps alot if u have high temps/humidity and cant lower them....

Bout 6 fannings a day is good. You can get away with 1 or 2, but you really shoud be doing 4 or so at least. Make sure they are evenly spaced out too.

Humidity should be in the upper 90's for cakes
Fan 4 or five times a day all lookes well.
Pinns will come on 1 to 2 weeks . Keep up the good work.
