 bad eyesight & shrooms? urgent dumb question

hey shroomery
just wondering,...i have horrible eyesihgt, im really farsighted, and while i usually wear contacts, im stuck with glasses for the time being. and my first trip is coming up on the 9th. im really looking forward to it but i have to wonder...will my bad eyesight fuck with my trip? like should i keep my glasses on or not? cuz i cant see anything clearly past a foot or so in front of my face...so should i wear my glasses or just close my eyes and enjoy CEVs or what?
also how do i get my fucking sig to work?

I don't know the answer to either question, but I'll have a stab:
1) Keep your glasses on unless they bother you. Try taking them off once you are used to the effect of the shrooms, and if it fucks everything up, then put them back on.
2) Not sure about the sig, but try getting rid of the "src=" right at the start.

I think you will see fine w/o your glasses, I say keep them on and then experiment once your trip starts. I believe your sight really does get better while tripping, I did an experiment once and I could read things at a distance I normal couldn?t, and I couldn?t read it after tripping...

i have the same problems jhad. its weird when u put ur glasses on its alot different i like to switch it up between having them and not
the visuals are still good without they are just more clear with.

It depends -- sometimes not being able to see very well is kind of amusing. It's a bit disorienting and some people get a kick out of that. Others feel vulnerable and freak the fuck out, or obsess on their inability to see as well as they think they should. You, luckily, have a pair of glasses at your disposal and nothing to worry about.

someone I know has glasses as thick as coke bottles, but when he takes acid he can see nearly 20/20. Dunno about shrooms though, I say try it. Get croakies or tie your glasses so they don't fall off, and periodically try to see without your glasses.

I've heard that in low doses, shrooms do actually have a perceptible effect on eyesight -- that they tend to improve it, make it sharper.
I've got a few guesses as to why this happens, but I can't say anything until I've actually experienced shrooms myself.

They do increase visual acuity and edge detection drastically in my case. Its not only low doses either (they say this because soon youll be really hallucinating) Its everytime and especially noticeable at the beginning. I have had bad eyesight for years but havent had glasses for most of that time. It blows my fucking head off how great my vision becomes. Its really amazing.

not sure with psilocybes, but with LSD your pupils will dilate a HUGE amount which lets a LOT more light onto the retina of the eye, which as previously stated increases visual acuity quite alot.
This is the reason why everything in seems a lot more vivid and sunlight can be almost painfully bright.
I do not advise tripping in bright daylight for someone who has vision impairment already, as this extra light bombardment can actually slightly damage the retina.

Its the same for me, DailyPot. Its the same for small details on objects that I normally can't see. Like very small textures and such.

I have terrible vision as well - but I'm NEARsighted, which means I can't see things at a distance.
I recently got contacts but before I had them my shroom experiences were great  I would trip with my glasses off, and at times with them on - lol it really didn't seem to matter much at reasonably large doses, because everything I was "seeing" wasn't really even there, it was all hallucinations
