The cops unfortunately do know all about Weilii, at least Cobb County does. I heard they even have a little pamphlet with info on them / mushroom hunters.
Why is this unfortunate? We should all get jobs as some sort of DEA agents enforcing the wisdom of weilii. No joke, people need guidance with these things. I am genuinely concerned for the idiot trying to get a high off these things, although they seem to be very gentle and nice in how they deliver "The Message," to people who need picked up and dusted off. I don't think in my experience with them, and in anyone's I've shared them with (yes these things need to be shared, not sold for profit) there is any negativity. It seems to be a very good medicine with many benefits to the healing system. I hope you all have read Dr. Andrew Weil's NYT's bestseller "Spontaneous Healing" before you ate the mushroom named after him and the healing system. If not, get a copy. Or "Ask Dr. Weil" on his website for one. lol.

See, I knew it!! I'll never go to Cobb County to hunt just on that information alone. Im going to Gwinnett tomorrow, but I go fishing there and have reason for walking around. Fishing pole and nets and such kinda throws people off. They're more interested in what kind of fish you're catching than if you're hunting mushrooms. Ive got it all figured out.

I like your Constitution rant, Hashfinger. And enjoy your recent weirdness. I just hope it's weilii related (or inspired).. you know, to stay relevant

I dunno about joining the DEA.
Personally I thought it was ironic that weilii can be found around office complexes and neighborhoods with drones/average unawaken americans living there. They grow right where they're needed most.

So I have a story to tell. I have got my book psilocybin mushroom of the world book by Paul Stamets and I've been looking for a while now and with no success of finding any. Its was brought to my attention that i could find them up at kennesaw mountain... So I went on a long hike to find nothing.. Thank god!!! Because when I was walking out I got stop by rangers!!! They asked me what I was doing and I said hiking.. He then asked why are you coming from this direction? I said I was cutting throw it was faster then walking all the way around. It had turned out that some one ( a woman)had seen me off the trail behind a tree taking pic and thought that I was hiding or something. So she thought that I was up to no good and called the cops and rangers. When they asked me why she said that I looked like I was hiding I replied.. I saw some mushrooms that looked cool and I wanted to take some pic and see if I could id them.. Then they search me and I had one mushroom on me that I had picked but it was a poisonous and they knew it. They got on my ass for going off trail and picking mushrooms. They tried to get me in some way to admit to that I was looking for weilleis or just active mushrooms in some around about way.. But I was to smart for them. But they know what I was looking for and they know what they look like because one of the rangers made a point to describe them to me in a question to see how I would act or how I would answer. I said I'm not sure. I said I just got into looking edible and stuff like that so I'm just trying to learn how to Id stuff. He replied with You can't do that here we know what we have and we don't need help id'ing things. So after about 20-30 min of them interrogation me they let me go. So to whom that go to kennesaw be careful and play dumb and hope you don't have any of them on you when or if you get stopped!!! Good luck to all and be safe!!

Sorry you had to go through that bullshit. Way to stand your ground. Remember, the knowledge of weilii is not illegal, only a picked mushroom is considered posession. You can sit there all day in front of law enforcement snapping pics admiring the beauty of a weilii, but the second you pick it, you're done! So odd that in the USA it's legal to possess a loaded gun and illegal to possess a mushroom. lol

Well, I didnt find anything in gwinnett. I did find a few species of Mushroom growing, but not what Im looking for. Ive been seeing these huge basket ball mushrooms everywhere, but no weilii. Actually, I looked in some pretty promising places while fishing this morning. Didn't catch any trout and didnt find any weilii.

Well, you have to do it right because they will question you. I've been hiking at Kennesaw for over 10 years. When I came to trying to find some Weilii, I decided it would be a good place, because it has some really good environments for Weilii. Ive gotten off the trail numerous times to search for them in the past. However, Im very careful not to let anyone see me exit the trail and I make my way to the deep forest before being spotted. Ive never been questioned or caught doing that, but I stopped going there to hunt a couple years back because of not finding any.
The Rangers there know me because Ive been going so long. Ive seen them, talked to them and they recognize me. So, they wouldn't give me a hard time for being off the path anyway. However, they want everyone to stay on the trail. The reason is, it is a major battlefield. There are more people searching for relics than mushrooms. To be honest, I would rather get caught with mushrooms than relics, they will burn your ass for that. Honestly, Kennesaw is not a good place to hunt. There are too many people there. Plus, take it from me, Ive never found anything there and Ive been everywhere in those woods.

I used to go to ol'e kennesaw mountain and metal detect at night. That is the illegal activity those rangers are primarily looking for. Catching Artifact poachers or as I prefer to call them "Artifact preservers." And those rangers are out there thick too... on one occasion I actually had to ditch my $150 Metal Detector so I can out run a ranger that spotted and pursued me. I'm sure Kennesaw Mnt. has great spots but it might not be worth it with all that heat. It sucks getting busted with Weilii's. Take it from someone who has. Its a felony in GA and like 2 other states and the charge haunts me to this day. I got busted 3 years ago while driving in Cherokee. I didn't say shit and all of the officers didnt know shit. All of them were like "you best stay out of them cow pastures boy." In roswell they know about them though (because of a previous member of the shroomery "spilling the beans" to a cop.) It was even in their news paper. So be extra careful there.

I have a metal detector that I took the pole off of, so that the coil would fit in my jacket pocket and the gauge inside my inside pocket. It works really nice when taking it places Im not supposed to. I dont think I ever took it to Kennesaw though.
One time, I took about 5 grams of Cubensis and went walking at Kennesaw and when I got to Pigeon Hill (where the big rocks are) I stopped and chilled. All of a sudden, this entire Boy's Scouts group came walking up and they started climbing the rock I was on. They was snarling and growling like demons. The Boy scout leader waved at me with this innocent look on his face, but when he looked at me, you could tell he thought there was something off. It was hilarious. I dropped my cigarettes and one of the scouts started telling me how bad it was for me. Kennesaw is an awesome place to trip, but I wouldnt be hunting Weilii there anymore. I definitly wouldnt use a metal detector there, im sure they really look out for people doing that.
As for the guy that rolled over and told the cops about the Patches, I remember that. He got busted with mushrooms on him or something and then lead the cops to the patches where they staked it out and got a few people. Thats why I like trying to find original, undiscovered patches.

I just don't understand why you would take them to reea patches! why not walk the cops though 5 miles heavily wooded to forest and tell him of this is where I go and make them waste their time. You can't promise them other people use your patches.
