My friend is a dumbass - Humidity ?

My friends cakes have water droplets on top of them, pooling sort of. Is this safe? The humidity is at 99% at 74 degrees F.

damn, try and take the humidity to 80 or 70. Too much humidity ain't good.

99% humidity is the target if u are doing cakes.... leave it alone...
water droplets are not good tho....
what are causing the droplets? is the lid dripping? are u misting?
find the source and stop it....

Other than the water droplets, it sounds fine. Increase your air exchange while maintaining the high humidity, lower temps a bit, introduce light and you'll be a proud parent soon. Good luck with that.

My friends set up is a clear bin, perlite on the bottom with a hole on the side that has air tubing going into the hole and under the perlite. This is used for air exchange & more humidifcation. I'm thinking I'll tell my friend to leave the fish pump off for a while.

u can leave the fishpump on 24/7.......
it provides air exchange......

if u want more air exchange, crack the lid a bit, or fan more often, or, (my method) hook up a coolmist and run it on a timer.... u can run it wet or dry.... if u run it wet, u can leave it on for longer... if u run it DRY (cuz your too lazy to change the water) then make sure u dont leave it on for more than 10 min at a time... it can dry things out quickly....
