can you reply about the incredible string band?

Has ANYBODY else listened to the Incredible String Band? You don't have to like them. Even I don't like them after 1969/70, but their early stuff is some of the greatest music I've heard.

I've been raving about them like a loony for god knows how long and no-one seems to have a clue what I'm on about... not that they usually do, anyway.

Here's some names that might trip your memory (NPI)...
Hangman's Beautiful Daughter
5000 Spirits / Layers of the Onion

I'd just like to hear another person's perspective on them... they are tripping classics anyway.

GOOD JOHN DEER MAN!! ive never talked to anybody who knew who the fuck the incredible string band is!!!

i haven't listeded to them in so long, the only song i remember is Painting Box.... man, thats crazy... :grin:

I have a disc of Renbourn and Williamson live, about a dozen years old or so, really great stuff, and they jokingly refer to themselves as being unamed as yet, but were considering the Incredible String Tangle :smile:

Great musicians, I love British Folk music.
