Would this work out? Sometimes the humidity isn't that high, but if the grower were to water the patch every so often would that work?

Read the Moes Outdoor tek. You need to have humidity. I really doubt it if your missing soe of the requirements then forget it. Just grow indoor if you can.

Hmmm
i had a dream about a friend who made love to a donkey and spawned a half-donkey half-man love child...
and this donkey-man love child took up residence in New Jersey..
the donkey-man also had an outdoor mushroom patch... donkey-man said "the climate is just fine in NJ.. espically with all the rain we have been having lately"

now this was all a dream... so it probably means nothin.....

PS, watch out for slugs....
try growin in flowerpots..... slugs dont like climbing up the sides...

To keep the humidity a bit higher you could also make a small humidity tent with some plastic sheeting or garbage bags taped up or staple to a homemade frame. You can even throw a container of wet perlite in there under the tent. Summer temps in NJ are good for growin. The nights cool off nicely and humidity levels during the day can be naturally pretty high. Go for It! :smile:
