dance parties- implications
    #1702424 - 07/10/03 02:12 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I've been hearing much comparison of shaman style religion and DJ style dance parties for awhile now. while this was a niffty analogy, rave, being postmodern and all, is more than a mere update on some past design. I see rave possibly the Neo of the real world, the final version of past design which is distinct from all previous models, hopefully in it's efficacy as a social catalyst of love and harmony and all the rest.

anyone else really like to party?

Yup. From what I've heard, there are now "spiritual raves" for people who like to go there for reasons other than to just get "fucked up." I'd like to one of those sometime.

well, I think that they're all spiritual, it's just that more people are realizing them as such. I'm not even talking about "raves" per se, I've been to clubs in the midwest that have every bit as much positive energy as an outdoor in the bay area.

I know they are profoundly meaningful a priori, I'd like to hear more on why.
