Harry Potter vs. The Holy Bible & Koran for moral authority

I think that the Harry Potter series has to win. The story of Harry James Potter is about justice and the vindication of good over evil. The Bible and Koran are about giving your soul away to an amoral entity that encourages atrocities of all sorts. If the Bible were Harry Potter then God's followers would more closely resemble the Death Eaters who want to purge the world of mud bloods and oppress muggles than to the good witches and wizards like Albus Dumbledore and Sirius Black.

I don't want followers, and there's no such thing as wizards. Just trying to spur discussion here between the fictional yet deranged Abrahamic religions and the fictional world of Potter.

I never read 'em. The lowest grossing Harry Potter movie made more than the highest grossing LoTR movie though. Harry Potter is clearly the winner.

As a Christian I agree, the sooner Christians ditch the bible the better, it is not Gods word, it is some book that some Hitler styled politician priest declared the word of God, when will Christians stop supporting the historic atrocities that go with this lie? Harry Potter is cool if that works for you, everyone seek their own Holy Grail. I'm thinking Dante - The Divine Comedy, still have to get around to really reading it at this point. Harry Potter even becomes resurrected master magician just like Jesus.

The Harry Potter books end with, what the young are breastfed on, wholesale violence.

After the Battle at Hogwarts Castle... The ending was Harry growing up and marrying Ginny and sending his son Albus Severus Potter off on the Hogwarts Express. It ended with the feeling that Drako's son was going to have a rivalry with the Potter boy, giving each other the stink eye... Kinda corny I guess but it's good to know how they turned out.
