humidity and PMP

Well my buddies poor man's pod (PMP) is all set up and he has birthed seven cakes in it. The hygrometer has been at 98% or above since he put it in. There is not much notable condensation at all. Just a couple of spots on the lid. The cakes don't appear to be wet at all either. I went over and touched one of them and the myc felt kind of spongy, but I did not feel any moisture on them. Does this sound correct? Should my bud mist down the terrarium and mist the cakes?

Also, some of the myc on a couple of the cakes is a light brownish color. Is this a contam? It looks just like the rest of the myc, it is just a little tan colored. The rest of the cakes are brilliant white. My friend has waited a month for his cakes to colonize, and is worried that all of his time will be wasted if these aren't the correct conditions. BTW, there are no holes in the rubbermaid. The handles have some holes underneath them, and the airstnes are bubbling nonstop. Should he worry about air exchange at all?

Be sure the pump only changes the air 2 to 3 times a hour. Put two small holes in the top of the rubbermade. The reason they go on top is.
The fundamental principal behind using air entrainment is to sufficiently mix the two (fresh air and stale air) together and then re-distribute them back into the environment in a more balanced way that is then more beneficial to the mushroom crop. Without this sufficient mixing of the gasses present within the grow space, the crops will remain stunted and will likely never reach their optimum potential.

With the poor mans pod, the settling co2 air is met and diffused by a curtain of fresh air rising from beneath the Geo-lite surface. This rising flow of air is created from the air diffuser rod situated below the Geo-lite surface, which is powered by the air pump. The rising air pattern not only prohibits the heavier co2 air from settling down onto the bottom surface as usual but it also simultaneously diffuses the co2 with fresh air as it is distributed back into the environment or grow space where it can be put to good use.

In this way, the poor mans pod creates the same desired phenomenon as offered by more conventional means of air entrainment found in much larger-scale commercial applications where a mixing box is commonly used to accomplish this important task.

He did not dunk the cakes, because we read that you only need to do it in between flushes somewhere on here. How about the condensation thing. His terrarium don't have any, but the hygrometer reads 98% or above.

Thanks.

Cool. Tell kramer thanks. My bud was just worried because he did not see any condensation, and a lot of pics on here show condensation all over the sides of the containers and stuff.
