In the U.S. you cant vote if you have been convicted of a felony, but you still have to pay taxes.

But what if you don't agree with what you got convicted for? It dosen't matter because at that point you no longer have any say in the government. Obviously someone with a felony conviction has a reason to not like the government but they can't do shit to change it.

its bull shit.

In the U.S. you cant vote if you have been convicted of a felony...

Is that true in every state?

http://www.hrw.org/reports98/vote/usvot98o.htm

In forty-six states and the District of Columbia, criminal disenfranchisement laws deny the vote to all convicted adults in prison. Thirty-two states also disenfranchise felons on parole; twenty-nine disenfranchise those on probation. And, due to laws that may be unique in the world, in fourteen states even ex-offenders who have fully served their sentences remain barred for life from voting.

Hmmm. I would say those fourteen states are in violation of the Constitution. Has this issue ever been brought before the Supreme Court?

Well, since they can't vote, I would guess 0% =P

what's funny is that bush won 7% of the black vote, yet that 7% is way less than the black population (felonies), a majority of the military (economic incentive), so you're really leaving the 98% of black people who didn't want bush.
