Any ideas?

Hi guys Well, after spending the best part of the day trawling the web trying to get a positive ID for these critters, I'm hoping someone might recognise them directly... They were found (thousands of em!) growing in a pine forrest in South Western Australia. The area (Nannup/Balingup) is noted for the prolific wild psychadelic shrooms that grow there, so much so that the police trawl the forrests for shroom pickers every year! They don't have much smell, don't seem to bruise blue and have a solid stalk, the colour has a pinky terracota quality that perhaps doesn't show in the pics. A freind suggested that they might be Psylocibe Cubensis, but the stalk looks different to me. So... if anyone can help, I'd appreciate your time. Cheers.

They're not psychoactive. It's possible that they're deadly, however. Do not eat.

For a good shot at an ID, you need to tell us a bit more. First, what color is the spore print (please don't guess - make one to be sure). Second, could you show us the underside of those caps (so we can see the gills).
At first glance they look like Collybias. None of that genus are active, some are poisonous, some are edible (none considered good), most are unknown.
Happy mushrooming!

Thanks guys, it looks like I need to put my head down and dig through the FAQ files some more. It kinda makes your blood run cold when you consider the consequences of combining enthusiasm & ignorance in this field. Cheers, Clive.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.
