Ok heres the deal, my hippie friend has these two simple brf casings. They were made at the same time, the same way but with diffrent strains. The one in the blue tub is b+ and the green is malab. They look totaly diffrent and i think my hippie friends got cobweb. If so should it be removed? Or should he wait a few more days?

 Is this cobweb?
Yea, i should of posted in the contaim fourm but thought i get a quicker reply here. thanks

I'll go in another direction from those before me and side with caution. I know it's difficult to tell from images online, but the case in the green tray looks more grey than white and the growth looks fluffier than mycelium growth.
From the photos, I'd guess it was cobweb (Dactylium). Some of the common characteristics of cobweb are the grey appearance, finer strands and its speed of growth. Cobweb can often cover an entire casing in a day or two as is often mistaken for a growth spurt.
It would be well advised to isolate the casing and observe for further changes.
To help control cobweb in the future, try increasing air circulation and lowering humidiity.
Good luck with that and future projects.

What is cobweb? I've never been informed what it is exactly. Maybe someone can enlighten me. -Mr.Sleep

Cobweb mold is a type of contamination.

It happens often times when humidity is very high, a rapidly colonizing white mycelium that is fuzzier and thinner than mushroom mycelium covers your casing (or cake). It looks quite a bit different, and is a bit gray in appearance. The best way to recognize it, is that it has a totally recognizable smell. It's a fruity, sweet almost fermented type of smell, very pungent and characteristic.

These simple casings were made with 5 BRF cakes crumbled over 1 inch of verm and cased with 60/40.

That last picture is much better. It looks fine there.
If you are concerned just isolate it until you're certain it's healthy.
