I forgot about the original topic. Actually I tried to block it from my memory. Does anyone honestly believe that him saying that will make the people that want to kill Americans, want to do so more? If so you are dillusional. Most of the attackers are not even Iraqis. They are 'Jihadis' from all over the place that want to be martyrs. Most of the Iraqi people are glad Saddam is no longer in control. Once we find or kill him, along with the rest of his cronies, this will become a lot more apparent I believe.

Maybe most is BS. A lot of the attackers are from foreign countries. These are the martyr terrorist types. The rest are Saddam loyalists. Leftovers of the Republican Guard and Fedeyeen forces. As far as the Iraqi attackers go, I think it is safe to say that, they are the ones who stand to lose a lot if Saddam does not return to power.

First of all, damn near every intelligence agency in the whole fucking world thought he had WMDs before the war. Period.

That's news to me. Why didn't we have UN support then? Why was most of the industrialized world against this invasion then?

Quote:

Secondly, WMDs can be stored in things as small as a liter bottle. Please do not respond to this Alex, I have no interest in going over semantics with you. As far as delivery systems go, he sure managed to deliver them before against the Kurds. He also had plenty of missiles, and other rocket type devices to launch them with. Again, he has done it before. He told us what he had after the first war, and did not account for the destruction of it at all.

First of all, telling someone to not respond is a very inaffective form of debate.

He deployed them in his own country where he could basically do anything he damn well pleased. How does this apply to other nations?
What "rocket type devices" did he have to launch them with? Most of their missile technology was short range remnants left over from the Soviet Union. In relative terms, their ballistics technology was primitive. Was he going to lauch a SCUD over the Pacific Ocean and hit California?

If a small canister of this 'poison' was found in Iraq, do you think that following this elaborate chain of possible events could be a major reason in justifying the war?

Nope. Never said it was.

Quote:

Do you think Bush could go on TV and say "Look, we've found this canister of 'agent x'! He didn't have any missiles or planes to deploy it, but he might have been able to sneak it into the US and poison us!" ?

That would depend on the agent. It would have to be some really nasty shit for one small canister to justify anything.

Nope. Never said it was.

I didn't claim you said it was, I was just asking a question.

The above is an extract from my fictional novel, "The random postings of Edame".

In the beginning was the word. And man could not handle the word, and the hearing of the word, and he asked God to take away his ears so that he might live in peace without having to hear words which might upset his equinamity or corrupt the unblemished purity of his conscience.

And God, hearing this desperate plea from His creation, wrinkled His mighty brow for a moment and then leaned down toward man, beckoning that he should come close so as to hear all that was about to be revealed to him.

"Fuck you," He whispered, and frowned upon the pathetic supplicant before retreating to His heavens.

You know, I would have thought there would be a BS story by now for sure.  But I think that although  the president select is a few cards short of a deck, the war machine has had a few wrenches thrown in it as of late with this whole Niger thing.. and there was that one story about the nuclear centifuge buried in that Iraqi scientists yard that looked like a circluar piece of sheet metal
