Spore printing question

Okay, so i was down to my last syringe (store bought) and i wanted to try making my own from a big fresh cap using psylocybers printing tek. Im pretty sure that was the tek i used, sorry im not positive it was that specific tek, but anyway... I scraped the spore print into sterile syringes of water. I then let them sit in the fridge for around 24 hours before i innoculated. I inoculated 7 Ball jars and marked the two from the store bought ones. I incubated for almost two weeks now around 85 degrees in the dark. one already went into the fruiting chamber, one stopped growth except one little 1/2 inch spot on the bottom( which i flipped upside down for a little air exchange), and the others have maybe one or two little spots on them and they wont grow anymore either. No signs of contams just serious growth halt. Did i not prep the spore prints right or sterile enough? Is there any chance of saving them or fixing them?

That sounds like a problem of low-moisture. Hmmm.

If I were to take a guess I would say you may have a bacterial contamination in your syringe, commonly caused by improper sterilization techniques. There is no way you can save the syringes, but keep an eye on the jars. You should see some sort of discharge or discolorations appear if they are contaminated. Or, you may just see the growth stall and never advance (or grow extremely slowly, I have seen bacterial contamination be taken over by healthy mycelium).
All you can do is watch them, and clean them out and start over if you have a doubt.

kramer says atwar is right on the money on this one. unless the jars are dry ,you can bet it's a bacterial. if a jar dose not fully colonize at a somewhat steady rate of growth it is not worth messing with trying to save or what not . it's much easier to start over with fresh syringes and substrate b/c you waste more time and still get nothing kramer says to toss any good myc into an outdoor experiment and start fresh with wbs and grow eq or ks next time
at least thats what kramer says

okay, at a closer look it seems as though the jars do indeed look drier than the two substrate jars that did colonize...and fast too! Is there any way to add more water? Can i dunk them or is it too risky of contams because they aren't colonized? I need any and all legitimate help, i dont want to hafta throw out five jars!

You can inject some sterile water with a syringe but don't expect much.
