Ultra Sonic verus Perlite!!!

I've read teks on both humidifacation methods and they both seem to be favored and praised by a lot of people. I originaly felt safer going with the more expensive, more complicated ultra sonic method, but after read a few teks and faqs on the perlite method, I've changed my mind. Using the perlite method and placing the makes on lids on the perlite...do you get more flushes, larger (possibly more potent?) shrooms, fast growth, more pinning???? I'm wondering everyone's PERSONAL experience. If you've used perlite or ultra sonic or both, which do you prefer and which do you think is more effective/efficiant??? Thanks!

My friend uses perlite, supplemented with a humidifier for air exchange (he's a lazy bastard).

Perlite is cheap and fool proof.
