TX Mushrooms
    #1697422 - 07/08/03 10:06 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I was out in my backyard and I spotted a few mushrooms growing in the grass and also some by my fenceline under some dead grass/hay looking stuff and I was wondering if someone could maybe identify these?

I'll post more pictures later.

A description would really help. Its impossible to pinpoint exact species with those low quality images. I can safely say you found some type of an Agaricus, but whether its edible or mildy toxic is impossible to know with certainty without a good description.

Did they bruise any noticable colors when damaged, have any disticnt smell?

LK,

Alright... 3 things:

1. I?d agree with LK on agaricus.
2. Learn how to use your scanner.
3.

One more time, drill it baby  I can't quite read it, post it bigger and brighter, maybe make it flash. I wanna see it again, post it one more time, I didn't understand it the first time. Something about a description, is that kinda like my grandmas prescription? Define description.

Ok I have alot of those dark colored mushrooms growing on my fenceline, the gills are dark brown, the stem is an off white color and the stems are hollow and thin. The cap is light brown, and its wavy on the side of the cap. There is also a little dot thing at the top of the cap. It bruises really dark brown/black. They smell just like a regular mushroom.

I will get better pics of those later.
