Personally, I think growing one's own would be a matter of respect for the mushrooms.
Not to put down using others, but if I were to ingest psychedelic mushrooms, I think I would want my first time at least to be ones I had grown myself.
Honnestly, we have the same opinion on this point. The first time I got shroomed, it was from some home-growed stuff.
In overall, psychadelics drugs are a good thing, if used properly.
*Properly* means, at first, knowing what you put in your body. That's why growing shrooms could be a good move.
Refering to my last post on this thread, I still don't understand why many of my friends get so high on .5 or 1 gram of mush while I know that most people need at least 2 or 3 grams of pure cubensis to get that high. Based on that, I would *NEVER* try street shrooms without knowing the source.

Actually yes, I believe it is much more fun growing them than eating them. I love watching them grow wondering how big they will get. Or waking up to see that some huge pins have formed overnight. I could go on and on...
Hell yeah. Yesterday I found myself impatient at work to get back home and see how those babies grew in 8 hours compared to what I saw when I woke up.
And how many times so far I dreamed of myself inoculating jars, harvesting shrooms or simply messing with different teks...
This thing can be mind-consumming sometimes...! The worst (or best?) part is that i'm still a newbie at this and the kind of guy who looks at others casing pics and feel a mix of jealousy and frustration towards those beautiful flushes that I can't get to grow right now...
Someday, I'll be a mycologist...

"hobby (ha-bee) n. pl. hob?bies A subject or plan upon which one is constantly setting off; a favorite and ever-recurring theme of discourse, thought, or effort; that which occupies one's attention unduly, or to the weariness of others; a ruling passion."
