Made a boo boo when birthing
    #1697109 - 07/08/03 05:29 PM (21 years, 6 months ago)

Hehehe I just now realized that Bob forgot to take off the top layer of vermiculite when birthing a cake now it has abhorts growing right out of the top layer of verm.. What I am wondering is will having the top layer increase chances of contamination and should I get rid of it after the first flush. Also any negatives about it. I figured since it was the filter to protect the cake it might have some contams already in it that haven't taken off yet. This is the first time Bob has left it on, so that's why I'm askin

There shouldn't be any problem. In fact, the verm should help to keep the cake hydrated.
