....a couple of cakes that didn?t show pins since 3 weeks now? When bithed I didn?t dunk just put lots of ice inside the terrarium.

neither dunk nor coldshock. in my opinion, the only thing that could keep jars from pinning for that long is uncolonized substrate in the center of the cake (mycelium will rarely go into fruiting mode in the presence of uncolonized substrate). dunking or cold shocking could do more harm than good. just wait and be patient.

Even if it?s all covered with hyphal knots? It?s the only thing growing on them since birthed. Besides the temperature conditions are not optimal 85 F or 27 C, the rest is OK (the rest: air exchange, light and humidity). No way to control it without going to bankruptcy. Really hot in this fucking Madrid.

I never cold shocked my cakes but I have dunked em after they showed signs of contams.

coldshocking pointless with cubies unless you're desperate. harmless, though.
