Fasts and cleansing diets are of many different types. They are undertaken for many different purposes and objectives.
I didn't see anything saying you shouldn't eat seaweed. maybe I just missed it?

the human body can survive for weeks without food but only for a few days without water. with that said, i've always been interested in fasting but don't know if i could do it. well i know i could because i used to starve myself for adverse reasons for up to a week. but i like food too much these days. i might give intermittent fasting a try though.

Oh, Well from everything I know eating seaweed/sea veggies is great cause of all the minerals. I could see it being bad if your harvesting from polluted waters.

Ramadan, 1.5 billion people fast for 30 days every year. This fast lasts from sunrise to sunset, includes abstaining from water, and on top of that if you live in 120 degree heat you still fast.

Yep the deli cook where I worked, she was Lebanese. She was awesome to talk to. She would bring back goods from Lebanon and give them to me.

I've done a 9 day cleanse. Master cleanse - water, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and organic maple syrup. 6-12 times a day Takes about 3 days to get used to not eating, but after the hunger subsides I found immense clarity and energy. Not to say I was high, but increased perception and focus.
Felt amazing after 9 days. Some people have even done 30!
its not for everyone and takes a lot of willpower to get through the first couple of days.
I've done this a few times with no negative effects

Amphetamines are the only time when I don't eat for a few hours ... but it's only for a few hours! I get hungry really easily in general, and it doesn't change for anything (including amphetamines) ... you'll never see me fast. Ever.
Same.
I was addicted to amphetamines so I learned to eat massive quantities of food on them rather quikly.
You can get way higher and for much longer (redosing) if you keep eating.
I've never bought into the idea that drugs work better if you take them on an empty stomach. It only makes sense that drugs would be better metabolized if there is food in your stomach, as well, being digested. And I hate when I'm hungry. I get really grumpy and the only thing that ends up being on my mind is food, and how much I want it.
And yes, I think that when you get used to taking amphetamines regularly, it ends up no longer making you not hungry. From my experience, amphetamines used to have severely different effects in the beginning of my use compared to the effects from amphetamines that I have now. In relation to what we're talking about, when I first was doing amphetamines, I could go for days without eating. Now I eat normally when on amphetamines, and I feel much better this way.

Yeah, that's how it used to be for me. I used to see my friends eating on amphetamines and I would wonder how the hell they did it. Fast forward a few years, and I'm doing the same thing. I think that humans are meant to eat food regularly, I personally don't think fasting does anything beneficial at all. I don't see other animals in the animal kingdom purposely fasting, almost any animal will eat as much as they can when they can, and I follow that lead.
