could the Grayanotoxin from Rhododendron substrate enter the fruits?
    #16932134 - 09/29/12 11:53 AM (11 years, 7 months ago)

hey folks,

I've grown some beautiful Cyanofriscosas on a 50% Rhododendron substrate, and I'm now afraid that the Grayanotoxin has entered the fruits

does anyone know if this could be the case? I know cyans fruits near rhododendron trees, but didn't think they fed off of them...

here's my grow log, many thanks folks!

for anyone who might wish to have this answered in the future, I've been advised that they fruits will be fine.

I've also eaten a fresh cap with no obvious poisoning effects, so at this stage, the advice I was given seems sound (thankyou kindly sir :hatsoff:)

I will conclude this report after I've taken a proper amount of fruits and have evidence back from friends

so long time in the reply here, but hopefully this might help someone in the far distant future.

after approx 6 trips with 3 people, at doses of around 2.5g dried, these showed no signs of grayotoxin poisoning.
so shredded Rhododendron wood it seems can be used as a substrate
