Will this cause any harm?

I can't PC my jars for a few days, so Im trying to do what I can to prepare for it. Would it be bad for me to mix up my jars and make them(verm seal and all, following PF tek) and them let them sit for maybe 3 days or so before I PC them? I heard this can cause spores to germinate, which can be good if the PC kills them, but can this be bad? Thanks !

If you let them sit for a few days contams might take over the jars. AFOAF says just wait to prepare when you can pc them,.

Are you sure? I doubt in a few days contams will take over. Im not talking weeks, Im just talking 2 or 3 days before I PC them. I could wait, but it would save me alot of time to be able to load the jars up ahead of time... dont ask me why... I am weird : 0

If they havn't already been made... AFOAF made up around 10 jars and left them in mid 70's and were taken over by green shit in only 2 days... the moisture mixed with the food just makes em go crazy...

Oh ya, and by "take over" do you mean the entire jar was filled with it? If it was only a little bit, wouldent presure cooking kill any molds/bacteria, and make it viable for the mushroom spores to consume as food?

It would not cover the whole surface of the jar. It could start up a contamination but maybe the pc would kill the bad mold and cube spores would do alright.

My iguana gets her jars ready by mixing up the rice and verm and in a seperate container she puts all the verm she will need to do the dry verm layer. then she takes them to her freinds house, mixes water into the flour/verm loads jars tops off with verm. while doing all this she has the pc boiling (without lid) so it is already hot when the jars are ready to put in. closes the jars up and puts in the cooker. she said she has 4 sets of 12 jars each, innoculated 1 and a half weeks apart per batch. they are all doing fine and she has only had one contam problem. but that was her fault for touching the needle inbetween jars.i know it might not help much but it does save that little time of mixing measuring and mixing flour and verm. so basically all you need to do is measure water, mix, load, and pc. sorry for the rambling, im drunk.
