"Fresh magic mushrooms only stay fresh for 3 to 15 days, depending on the climate and the species of mushrooms. Preferably keep fresh mushrooms in the fridge (not the freezer). "
Saw this at a site and I wanted to ask.......how long will shrooms that have been faned and had silica used on them , and then are put in a air tight jar, keep for.
I have some shrooms that have been in a jar for almost 2 weeks and I want to have a nice trip when I open the jar but say I waited how long could I wait before the potency drops by half and then how long till it drops to nothing??
Anyone know this?

Fresh mushrooms go bad because of the water content in them. Take a fresh mushroom (any kind, not just a magjc one) and lay it out for a couple weeks. You'll see why they go bad after 3-15 days.
Dried, they can last much longer - I've heard 'months' and I've heard 'years' so I guess it depends on how you preserve them. Cracker-dry, stored in an airtight jar, they should last you at least several months. If the ones you have were dried, you're good to go

For dried shrooms when cracker dry i place in the freezer in a sandwich baggy then in a tupper ware months with the same kick as before they were in there the key is make sure they are 110% dry..

You could keep them for years in an anaerobic and totally dry environment. If one were to dry them 100%, and then vaccum seal them in a container with some dessicant, i bet they would last AT LEAST a year. Psilocybin is a relatively stable compound chemically speaking.
