if you can pull off multiple flushes you should get around 1/4 (7 grams). A first flush is about 3 grams or so... as shroomizzy said, if you're lucky.

The above numbers are what's usually given, but SWIM's on his first grow and using invitro double end casing, dunking, rolling in verm & spraying after dunking, then birthing onto perlite (and sliding a lid under if/when pins appear at the bottom touching the perlite).
Using the above methods, he's averaging better than 60 grams wet on the cakes he's harvested so far. Dried that should work out to around 6 dry grams for just the first flush.
Some of his cakes birthed later, he didn't roll in verm. He thought maybe they'd pin faster without the verm, but that doesn't seem to be the case. So that'll bring down his average w/out speeding things up much.
It pays to do alot of reading here. IMO, using the best teks, cakes shouldn't be too far behind casing.

thats nicer then what I get off 2 cakes, and I have been thinking about casings for awhile and I think I am going to keep it simple and go with the straight verm like your friends but what is double end?
is that when you put lerlite or wetverm done then substrate then casing ?
also what do you think of the perlite etc on the bottom I was thinking against it as I have heard bad things about it
thanks Psilocybeing

The above picture is two cakes side by side on a plate with wet verm 1/2" then two brf cakes then about a 1/4" wet verm on top. Afoaf actually dont like fruiting cakes but its fun to watch them grow on the coffee table. As for perlite a must Afoaf believes for cakes but for casings he makes seran wrap over the top till pinning then just straight air environment but thats where he lives other areas will be different

What's your humidity where you live? I don't think that would work with the humidity where I'm from.

it is about 60-65 rh where they are growing just remember casings get there rh from there casing layer so other methods of giving humidity may or will cause aborts

but if your casing is to dry adding perlite is ok.....right?
Anyway I am going to go with a verm casing , now I can use brown rice , but could I use rye and verm, as I have heard great things about rye, I just dont know if rye and verm are a good combo
