My second grow was successful using an Ultrasonic Humidifier in a Martha-type set up.
Although after tearing down and setting up the same greenhouse in a different apartment, I did experience some difficulties with over saturation. Led to soggy cakes and a frustrated hobbyist.
RR, I believe though I could be wrong, says that to fix this by simply cutting slits in your green house, or unzipping the door slightly in order to increase FAE

So you think a fogger is a better choice?

I don't think I can really answer that question, I've never used a fogger.
This might help you decide.
It seems either would work given that you find, maintain, and respond with the correct amount of FAE for your enclosure.

Cool mist style 24/7, ultrasonic on timer to boost humidity. That's what I have planned for my martha haven't used it yet though. I've read it helps keep over saturation

In my GH, I plan on running an ultrasonic for 15 minutes every 2 hours with a computer fan sucking out the old air and pumping in new for 2 minutes 6 times a day coming on right before the ultrasonic kicks on its cycle. Also leaving the bottom unzipped a couple inches with 2 trays of perlite in the bottom.
Now when its full of substrates it should hold 90-95% humidity for a while, with a slight drop and then picks itself back up...this allows time for evaporation while not over saturating the substrate(s).
I have not tried this yet but it seems like a good start...still waiting on trays to colonize. For me, running 2 humidifiers is just too much, especially when the ultrasonic does such a good job.

I've used a fogger before. I had some success, but it was too much of pain in the ass to be worth it.
Ive heard that for marthas you want a cool mist w/ impeller.
I believe something like -this-
I'd do a little reading about the impeller type. A GH can be done with an ultrasonic fogger but it just doesn't seem right for the job.

If your using a martha gh setup id say get a submerable pump and set your fogger above everthing and rig the exit hose from the pump to the pool the fogger is in that way the humity falls down and the water gets returned where you want it. No muss no fuss just fill every so oftan

Ultrasonics are the shit for bog rooms and cakes. They will drench the shit out of monotubs. Mono tubs only need spray bottles
-------------------- Stop experimenting half way through your first grow. Grow it to maturity, watch it, learn from it. Do this a few times then experiment with different ideas and figure out what works best for you.
