would it be possible to start a jar of pc'ed wbs from some myc. from a casing?
what steps could i take to ensure success? what tools could i use and how do i prepare them? any comments and/or pearls of wisdom are welcome...

here is the deal....the substrate was cased after it failed to regenerate after a jar shaking, rather than try to spawn other jars with a possibly contaminated jar i opted to case it and hope for the best. as it is right now the myc. is showing strong rhizo. growth (even up the side of the rubbermaid). so i want to be able to innoc some jars as soon as i can.

okay now that, that has been established.
has anyone attempted anything like this? i know i'm not giving the post enough time (me and george are probably the only ones watching this post on the edge of our seats...)

i think i will try to spawn one jar from the rhizo adn see how that does before i try the other 7 of them. i figure i just need one good jar.....
now how to get that jar is the question........

yeah castanza is right but if it is done carefully this is what u do take several pieces of nice looking myc. and transfer it to peroxide all in there own seperate containers so that way if one fails u got more to count on i dought all will fail out of lets say 5. take nice chunks then u do a transfer. it aint easy but possable

I tried quite a similar thing a couple of days ago. There was lots of mycelium growing straight up from the casing layer on one of my tubs, so I picked one strand off with tweezers and dropped it in a jar of millet. Too early to tell if anything will come of it but looks like its grown a bit since it was put in..

you could try adding h202 too the water you use for the wbs possibly..I have done this with brf and had some success
