i live in south arkansas last night a friend and I went shroom hunting and we found 4 big shrooms they were found in a cow pasture but not directly growing out of dung but the grass was pretty tall and lack of lights so i could not exactly tell all 4 shrooms were the same size i have a few pics the shrooms have about 6 inch caps and the caps are white on the outside that fade into a brown/orange in the center. they remind me of psilocybe cubensis but the size throws me off can anyone help id these for me thanks

At first glance those look like Lepiotas. Some of them are excellent edibles, some of them are deadly poison.

First, you need to do a spore print. That will help confirm the genus.

Next, you need to write us a description. For guidelines on doing that, read the sticky threads at the top of the forum. Assuming these are Lepiotas, some information that will be important will be odor and bruising.

Happy mushrooming!

Those could very well be dried Amanita Virosa. They were growin around my complex, the largest on had a cap that was like 8 inches all the way across cap. They were white with that peeling brown on cap just like those, and then a bit darker when dried, they printed spore prints that were brown to red/white

That is a possibility.

The toxins in the dangerous Lepiotas are identical with those in Amanita virosa and its immediate poisonous relatives.

To decide between Amanita and Lepiota (without a microscope) we need to see a good photo of the base of the stem - one which was not cut off when the mushroom was picked.

Overall, the scaliness of the cap leads me to lean towards Lepiota more than Amanita.

Happy mushrooming!

I'm gonna go with Lepoita, don't eat them though.
