I love bears.
We had about 3 or 4 of them literally camping out at my house this summer.
Not a day went by for a good month or so where we didn't have a "visitor."
Boy does my dog love to chase them.
He's such an idiot, he'll run right up to them,  but by the time he gets within 10 feet the bears always haul ass up the nearest tree.
Never understood why people are freaked about black bears. They're very gentle animals. They could easily kill my dog with one paw swipe, but would prefer to climb up a tree and hide.
City folk are especially hilarious. Once was with someone who saw a bear for the first time in their life. Watching it on an enclosed deck, they ran into the house:rofl2:

yeah they're pussies for the most part, but i did have a family that was fearless and ate my badass male porch cat. you have to keep the boundaries between you and them well established and reinforced daily, otherwise they start pushing.

not quite sure what that is, but I'm assuming it's a gov't job to "control" the animals. I'd side with ya on that, I'm assuming they do a shit job there like they do here.
Our local cops/park police/parks and wildlife don't do SHIT for the bears. every time someone calls it's "yeah we'll send someone over..."
No one ever comes. Except the cops. But what do they ever do? Shine their spotlight on it and try to run it off:rofl2:

they won'rt relocate bears here, so they trap them and sometimes don't check their traps every day, like over a weekend or holiday. they still set the traps knowing this full well.

hahaha.
I just have a soft spot for bears.
When it's summer I usually go to read in this little spot in my backyard that's right in front of the woods/mountain behind my house.
I believe it was sometimes in June/July I was walking back there, and I spot this ENORMOUS black bear under my pool's deck.
He was chilling, sleeping in the shade. Wakes up, lifts his head, looks at me, goes back to bed.
I went to read, with this monster sleeping/chilling not 50 feet from me.
I got to no problems with them.

o that's one thing you never want to experience.
the males and females are always chill when solo.
but you get between a momma and her cubs...
whole other story.
