THE SEARCH ENGINE

On the search engine, there is a field that says "Date Range".... Could we possibly make that default to 'all posts' instead of the '1 week' range? How often are you searching for something that happened this week? It would technically be easier to go into the forum and just searched free hand if it was only a week ago... I'm sure a bijillion people a day do that everytime they search for something... like me

Searching all posts puts a strain on the server... the 1 week default is to help avoid this.

Quite often actually.

well, it'd be cool if this one week default thing was more noticeable.... I never realized that this was the reason the content of the forums seems so slight. then again, I'm really prone to oversight.

They could surround it with flashing lights and arrows I suppose.
Seeing as it's right in the open, perhaps a better solution would be for you to just pay more attention to what is in plain sight.
