DON'T cook a crested pedro? Are you crazy? I'll trade you for a damn normal cutting... GROW these, don't eat them. Do you have any idea how cheap a normal pedro would be to get as opposed to eating a small crested one that won't get you off? It's almost drug fiending, like licking the table for coke... but killing a very cool plant instead.
Crazy kids...

yeah mate, don't use one of those awesome plants for brewing. i'm sure someone would happily trade you double the weight of your crest in regular pedro which will be just as potent. especially one the size you describe is pretty rare!

Yeah, if you've got tons of them, you could extract a tiny amount just to see what the ratio of alkaloids is... without needing a "dose worth"

Are you sure the "Mutant" you have is a Trichocereus cactus? one teh size your discribing is very hard to come by, and anyone who owned one would know not to eat it.

You have just dragged up a thread from 6 years ago to ask the same question. Did you not read the thread before you posted this? Don't chop up and eat rare monstrose or crest plants if you want to eat cacti trade your crest for a normal bridg, pach or peruvian.
Cheers Got

"dont kill motrose" blah blah blah, they can be cloned and grafted so its no problem to eat one.
Anyone got any experience.
