No sign of growth
    #1686038 - 07/04/03 08:42 AM (20 years, 8 months ago)

I innoculated my jars about 8 days ago and have seen no sign of mycelum growth the temp has been around 75-80 but the humidity has been kinda low. this morning I put them in an incubator and raised the heat and sprayed the incubator for some humidity. I am wondering if the jars have dried out (PF Tek)? Is there still hope?

IT doesn't matter about humidity. You should be creating high humidity in the jars.

86F is optimal, 89F is too high.

Humidity will help from jars drying out but essentially is unecessary. You could tell if they had dried out by looking at them. Just keep waiting.
