a question on non-nutrient layer.............??????????

I have casings (bulk substrate [poo (elephant+ship) innoculated with white millet grain... (Huautla) They're %130 (?) colonized. Considering the TEKs i've read here, the question is;
Can i case them with a thin non-nutrient layer, (peat-moss, vermiculite, Calcium Carbonate & Oyster shells) leaving some little spots open and directly putting them into fruiting environment...... (assuming they don't need cold shocking....)
When casing ordinarily, you use a spawn to innoculate some bulk substrate. (or maybe a non-nutrient layer in addition....) And you incubate them till mycellium is seen over the non-nutrient layer. If you case the bulk substrate after fully colonized; can you patch it with a non-nutrient layer witch is really thin to let enough mycellium over the "kit" to look like one which was incubated like for 3 days...... Can you directly put it in the Terrarium!??

The word truth...... doesn't make any sense..... As if the word sense...... which isn't the truth.........

wow I think that Is a close match to fugu.. besides the %130!?!
As for casing, I would use a normal layer and let it incubate. I do not think a thin layer in patches would allow for enough moisture. All substrates will need a casing layer to support fruiting, whether bulk or not. Think of bulk like a G2G, you are just making more substrate, you will still then need to case it.
I hope that help.
