Please feel free to add anything on to this thread that you have experienced first hand. After ingestion: -emptiness of the stomach feeling -involuntary/voluntary muscle spasms (usually the arching of the back and bending back of the shoulders as well as tilting of the head) -visual distortions, such as the breathing effect of walls and the movement of still patterns (especially geometric, complex or striped patterns). Trees and nature especially exhibit a flame or vortex, twisty-type characteristic when viewed. -Feeling of Vertigo -Numbness in the limbs, especially in the legs. -Moist, numb feeling in the lower abdomen, like you just pissed your pants. -Outlining of distand objects(skys look as if they're painted on) -Red shift in vision. -Colors seem more vibrant and alive -uncontrollable smiling and laughter -increased sensitivity to touching (especially touching objects with interesting textures or finishes) -increased perspiration, hot flashes -Tiredness or overall lethargy -loss of appetite -auditory distinctions are much more sensitive (enjoying music as if you've heard it for the first time). -Constant peeing, with urine exhibiting a foul odor (like burnt rubber.) -sensitivity to taste, textures and temperatures in the mouth. -dialated pupils, overall look of tiredness. -Closed eyed visuals (usually geometric, complex patterns, nature and/or cosmic oriented, etc...) -redness in the skin in certain areas, sometimes accompanied by itching. -Auditory hallucinations (a constant high pitch in the background, hollow mettalic noise, like your inside a metal tunnel, or some other "broken record" occurance.) -increased heart rate -acute vision -nausea and/or dizziness -upset stomach, cramps -weakness in the knees -Nervous Euphoria -confusion on the onset -Slight drunkeness when walking or moving -Teary eyes, especially when yawning -manic energy, indecisive judgement in looking for something to do or get -Trouble understanding how to operate machinery -Tongue, throat and breathing seem to tightly intergrate with the thoughth proccess -Strange feeling around teeth -Feeling of extreme lightness -weird feeling around nose -Vomiting, after which is usually accompanied with intense open-eyed hallucinations -A "wah, wah" feeling in your body, like your being bombarded by some kind of kinetic force. -Heavy philosphical rambling, like your a college professor talking to a room full of students. Especially profound with high doses. On the request of Anno, I have compiled and added information on the Physical Effects of Mushrooms. Thank you to all the Shroomery members for their contributions. Please feel free to continue to add to the list. Happy Shroomin'. -Soochi

- Nausea is the big one for me. After eating them, it's a slight discomfort feeling in my stomach, slightly unsettled, nervous. - The feeling you've pissed yourself is another I encounter a lot. - CEVs, very intense. On acid I can barely close my eyes for 1 minute (more energetic), but on shrooms, I just lay back and a beautiful landscape opens up in my mind. No effort required at all either, just flowing patterns (goes great with music, seems to change with the beat and flow of music) - Confusion on the onset. It's slightly uncomfortable until the mushroom has you firmly under her grasp. It's like a period of adjustment that takes a bit to get used to before you can relax. - Lethargy, slight drunkeness when walking. Makes me quite drowsy and sometimes yawn a lot. - Teary eyes, usually on higher doses it's more apparent. Not crying, but just very watery eyes.
You've mentioned pretty much everything else.

I have one that is more of an after effect. I don't know if it caused by needing glasses or not. For years after doing heavy doses of LSD and three shroom trips I found myself seeing a weird hallucination from time to time. I would see people with two mouths, one above the other, and two sets of eyes, one above the other. It stopped happening about three years ago. Weird.

I sometimes get stomach cramps. Sort of like abdominal. This happens at a different time than the onset where you would feel nausea in the stomach.

I've done that numerous times. This one time on acid I went to my car to look for something, and then I couldn't remember what I was looking for, so I was sorta looking around and acting like Hunter S Thompson muttering gibberish. A simple task of collecting CDs and putting the headphones on etc takes a LOT longer on trips hehe.

That reminds me...
- Trouble operating electronic devices.
What a nightmare...every time I trip I love to listen to music, but sometimes it isn't an easy task. My friend has a very expensive stereo which his father had bought, its like a 100+ CD changer, and my friend knows how to operate it fine sober, but when we trip its always a HUGE problem. He completely forgets how to operate it, and it generally takes about 10 minutes to get it working (which feels like an hour) as the other trippers simply wait in agony hoping it will work.

for me:
- tongue, throat, and breathing seem to get tightly integrated with my thought processes

VERY strange feeling around teeth, oddly pleasant.
Also on the come-up, feeling of extreme lightness.

Try to organise your music BEFORE you dose. It makes life a lot easier, and all you have to do is push a few buttons, and voila. Although it can be fun faced with a mission such as trying to change a CD...

you guys getting nausea need to cook your mush.
Sure it lowers potancy a tiny bit, but its a small trade off for no nausea.
uncooked mush is really bad for your digestive track. Any mushroom is really, try eating an uncooked shiitake, you'll get just as sick, sicker even.
Another great way to avoid digestive problems is to make tea.
if you have freash, or re-hydrated mush a 2 minuet fry with some oil or butter will do the job.

I totally agree RAS, making tea or kool aid is a very good way to combat nausea and purging.
I just came back from a recent 2 gram LY trip. Very intense, some ego death in the beginning but luckily was experienced enough not to panick. That would be the last time I trip in the evening, strictly day tripper now.

You know that scene in The Matrix where after he defeats one of the agents, he flexes and the world around him sort of flexes with him. That's kind of how I feel on mushrooms--like the world is an extension of my body. Also, on my 5g trip, I felt like my skin was bubbling up.
