I am doing a soaking a mono

I am using a quart at a time and soaking inside the mono. I am tilting the giant cake to absorb water at different areas so it can sort of breathe.....
What do you think? I thought this method would be ideal for a large cake.

this is a very vague post. i understand if english isn't your first language, but it is difficult to decipher exactly what is being said here.
how big is the cake? is the water just sitting still for the most part? or are you tilting constantly? gently running water works great for dunking in a tub, but you generally need to use another tub or something similar on top of the substrate in order to keep it submerged.

Guess I wasnt very detailed. I am using a coir tek like damion 5050's so the cake is about 40 qts and I dropped a quart of water directly into the monotub it is inside for it to absorb.
I saw a post saying you should pour 1 gallon in wait 1 hour then drain and do this for several hours rather than fully submerging the "cake"
I am trying more of a babyfeeding method because it has adult mushies from uneven flushing. I am trying to give it some breath and drink simultaneously by using 1 qt per half hour and giving breathing time in between to fully absorb.

To dunk or Re hydrate a Mono tub. Simple pour a gallon or so of water over the substrate, let sit 1 hour. And drain excess.
That's it.

You do this after u fruit the first flush, to rehydrate the substrate for the second flush.

i dont think it would hurt, they are 90% water anyways...if we can dunk cakes with pins on them why not a bulk with mature fruits?

You should have the substrate continuously submerged in water for the entire dunk time. They're not going to suffocate being underwater for a few hours which is all you really need for bulk substrate. My biggest concern would be if they are drying off in a reasonable amount of time after the dunk.

It flushed unevenly, I am doing this as a hurry before the second flush fully comes in.

The water won't hurt any of the fruits.. Think about it Mushrooms are 90% water. Which is why we also dunk cakes with Pins on them.
Regardless if the substrate isn't colonizing, then your dunking during the Fruiting stage. Weather it has fruit's or not.

Bulk substrate's do not need to be fully submerged.

This is how you should re-hydrate bulk.
