I am thinking about trying to make some 50/50 casing layers I usually don't use them these are the details below. I know that you're not supposed to use anything with above 5 percent magnesium.
This lime is s very fine powder
Pulverized garden lime Pulverized calcitic limestone
34% calcium 2.8% magnesium 47.6 calcium oxide 4.7 magnesium oxide 85% calcium carbonate 10%magnesium carbonate Moisture content 1%

Hydrated lime is what you want. I'm not sure how different brands compare. Or how what you listed above compares to normal hydrated lime.

Well there no hydrated lime within 50 miles of me lol. I've called every possible option commercial and private. Are there any alternatives? And thank you for the reply tyrant.

I'm going to assume that is my final option if there are no alternatives. I wasn't considering it due to the fact that the shipping would be so retarded on such a heavy product. But I did just get a $60 tip from a customer.

5lbs of feathers weighs the same as 5lbs of hydrated lime. I don't think shipping would be all that bad. Amazon has free shipping deals as well

Like hydrated lime, calcium oxide is fairly caustic. It might be useful as a substitute for hydrated lime but probably not useful as a long term PH buffer. If that's what you're looking for you want plain old powdered limestone (calcium carbonate will be the main ingredient). The guys at the farm supply might know it as 'high calcium limestone'.
