What can ten minutes of highish heat do to ready-to-be-fruited pf tek cakes?

This is gonna seem really stupid, but I was using the stove to heat up a nail held in some pliers to make holes in the fruiting chambers and the pot with the cakes in them was next to the burner. When I was done making the holes (about ten minutes of flame) I went to get the cakes and noticed the pot was hot. I took the lid off and felt the water and it was about the same temperature as a nice warm/hot bath. Would this temperature even for 10 minutes have some ill effects on the cakes?
thanks again

Not 100% but I think it may.  Proceed as you would anyways and hope for the best?

Edit: I saw from your other post: the fully colonized cakes were dunked in that water.

Probably not the best, but :whathesaid:
No sense tossing em out without trying
