I know this is an old thread, but I am curious as to your results with Mikes Outgrow BRF Bags? i just inoculated 2 of them myself and have them sitting in the corner of my bedroom, hoping all goes well and I will start seeing colonization. The bags are very cheap and pretty discrete, I inoculated after spraying everything down with lysol and rubbing alchy, and I taped the injection site up with multiple pieces of scotch tape. There really is not too much info here on these particular bags, most use mad bags or others and the instructions seem to suggest just inoculate and leave alone until full colonization, then they just fruit in the bag. If I dont get any contams all should go well im guessing. Even tho there are threads on these bags here, no one has actually ever updated as to whether or not they had any flushes with these?

I never heard of BRF bags. I have used rye grain bags with great success. Inject, colonize, spawn, grow, pick. My most recent attempt wound up with a smell of stale beer so I did something wrong. RR points out that when using bags you need to make sure gases can escape out the filter patch so make sure you pull the bag to make a path for the gas. I didn't do that before and was lucky the first few times. This time I got that contam. It's a learning process.
