is this a stupid idea?

i have eight fully colonized cakes in my terrarium- only one of them has started pinning no pins on the other ones- im going out of town in eight days for 10 days,if i took all the cakes that havent pinned yet and put them in the fridge for say roughly 20 days, when i come back would i be able to fruit it without any problem- i mean if this sounds like a stupid ass idea at all i dont wanna do it thats why im posting this, so if anyone knows if a fully colonized cake can withstand that much time in a fridge let me know. If this can acctually be done how would i go about putting them in there without having to worry about contams or it not fruiting when i got back.
