Interesting. After im done using a jar that had spawn in it, I just wash it with this plastic brush thingy that fits in jars perfect and use hot water and soap. Of course the next time i fill the jar, it then gets Pressure Cooked, which is almost a must if you want to even stand a chance of lower contaminant %. I would like to see what the more experienced members say though.

Look into tyndallization, Though it's not perfect either.

Actually i do got something to say. If using old jars wash them out with soap and water after spawning. Then when you go to reuse them again wash again them then if want soak in 10% bleach solution. then rinse and place on a a surface to dry opening down. Or just dry with clean towel. Then make jars. Also wouldnt hurt to steam your jars for longer.

PF tek I assume? Wash your jars with soap and warm water, or better yet, run them through a dishwasher. Remove any chunks or residue with your finger or a brush under running water first.
I'd think you're problem is probably coming from insufficient steam sterilization.

Interesting question... personally , used jars either colon or contam (<less everyday) get soak in a bleach solution, then scrubbed with dish soap, enough so that it takes the permanent marker writing on the outside ...
edit - grammer unfixed

It's really not possible that the mold would be surviving your sterilization, unless of course you did something super half-ass like steaming for only a half-hour. You don't need a PC to kill mold. You don't even need boiling water to kill it temps as low 130F can do it given enough time.

Not for endospores. Mold dies at 130, but the ungerminated spore don't.

Mold doesn't produces endospores. They're the dormant form of certain bacteria.
