When pasteurizing HPOO should I put the vermiculite in before I pasteurize it or sterilize it separately and mix it in after?

That is not Pasteurizing. I doubt the entire substrate stays at a constant temperature between 140-160 for at least an hour.
THIS is one of many proper pasteurizing methods.

yo op try this one out too http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/13293197 i know its not for poo but it brings results . even though it isnt a "proper" pasteurizing technique. its simple and to the point. great for begginers. use what is simple and works for you. either one of these still work. i mean, u saw ozz's fuckin forest.

Never do what im about to tell you....
Vermiculite is sterile right out of the bag, you can hydrate it and apply it to pasteurized bulk and 99% the time it will colonize fine....
But, You're running a risk of contamination (not likely) Still, always pasteurize any kind of material in this hobby.

Unpasteurized verm casing.... I just didnt have time to pasteurize the vermiculite or else I would have.

Remember, always pasteurize
