Pinning Outbreak

Has anyone else had to deal with thousands of pins forming over and over again; but staled growth?
I have a 66 quart tub; which I flushed 1/4 lbs dry, but pins kept forming after I flushed. I rehydrated the tub; but it seemed the pins just formed and wouldn't grow. I looked this up and saw that you need to take as much off and have the flush start from scratch. So I scrapped all the pins off the tub and just waiting for the pins to form again.

If there aborts, then of course you would remove them with the flush. But healthy fruits can withstand the dunk. Removing the healthy fruits would ruin your next flush.
How did you dunk? You need only pour a gallon or so of water over the substrate. And let sit for 1 hour, after drain off excess water.

Those little pins that refused to grow were part of your next flush.
I'm not sure where you found the info to scrape the pins off but that's bad info.

Yeah it was with the humic acid spray tub. The Humic Subs are still colonizing.

They pinned and turned black at the tips. They were aborts. But they kept pinning and aborting. Literally the entire surface of the tub was covered in pins. FUCK! I wish I took a picture before I scrapped them.

That might of helped. What is this spray you speak of, and why was it used?
I'd still snap a picture.

It was a test, using 1% humic Acid with distilled water. I lightly misted a layer on the top of the sub for 7 days straight. The other tubs that I did this to had no problem with their grow. This tub didn't either; giving me a 1/4 lbs 1st flush.

If I have aborts come late in the first flush, I always scrape, dunk, and put back into fruiting. The next flush is usually pretty even and a lot meatier..

Humic Acid has strong amounts in Manure; which ironically is one of the best mediums to use with growing mushrooms.
Doesn't that get leached out though?
Yes, but the excess gets leached. There is still large amounts of trace humic acid that stays in the sub. They had a concentrate of 60% concentration in their study. I am spraying a small amount of concentration on top.

Could just be some bad ms genetics op....I read about humic acid adding a yield increase but meh, why mess with success?
leave the experimenting to the commercial growers until its been 100% verified to work. Just saying, you have a potential to be wasting your time.

Was wondering the same thing? Leached from sun and weather.. That report was done for edibles Oyster's. Also, is more even needed, if the manure still contains it? Not trying to say your wrong or anything.
Just intrigued, maybe some more people will comment.

Yes but what I have already is a control and test tub. So far the test tub has outperformed my control. But I am waiting for the colony to establish and see the actual test from start to finish, like it was done on this study.
