Is it possible with my ratio it is just getting too dry? Would dunking these now be a bad idea? Last time when I dunked after my first flush (took 6 weeks) I got my second flush in a week and it was massive

I found a link that should help you out: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14508610#14508610
I wouldn't dunk quite yet. I think your problem from the get go has been too much FAE. By correcting the FAE issue, and maintaining a normal misting regimen, your substrate should recover and pin properly.

I don't know how to correct the fea? Put tighter polyfill and and mist heavily 2-3 times a day?

No dont over mist. Evaporation helps pinning. I mist well in the morning only. I sometimes mist twice as after time its needed to help regulate humidity. But thats cake grows. Still applies. 3 times is a bit much. And GL hope you get results.

Tighter polyfil and a heavy misting twice a day (once in the morning, once in the evening) followed by 5-15 seconds of manual fanning is what I would do. If there's still water standing on the substrate 20 minutes after fanning, use a paper towel to absorb the excess and mist a little less until you find the sweet spot where there's no standing water after 20 minutes.

Without question you need to dunk. after a month its too dry to fruit decently or if at all. so thats your first step. stuff the polyfil loosely and then mist and fan like 5x times a day. the evaporation causes knotting which then causes pinning. a stubborn tub IME can often be persuaded to pin by misting and fanning more. iv also had luck lowering the temp to about 65 degrees at night then letting it go back up to 75 during the day. good luck man stubborn tubs happen but they will eventually pin or turn green. if it turns green put it outside under some wet coir, keep it wet, and itll pin.
also when you mist dont mist heavily, mist more often instead. all heavy misting does is bruise it

Effect: Yellowing, blueing, or "bruising" substrate. Cause: Stress! This is caused by too much FAE and subsequent drying of the substrate, contaminates in the substrate, dropping your humidity gauge on your friends , direct/close proximity misting, or anything else you can imagine straining the substrate, which is pretty fragile (especially primordia.) Solution: Take it easy! I would say the most common cause of this one is the excess FAE, so adjust that accordingly when you begin to see bruising, metabolites, etc. Don't try to reverse the drying out effect with extra misting. This often leads to a dense mat of mycelium on the surface discouraging primorida/pins from forming.

also, if i were you, id sterelize some dry fine grade verm in the oven and sprinkle on a very thin layer. people are gonna respond that thats a bad idea becasue it gives a microclimate for contaminants to fruit. verm is non nutritious and nothings gonna germinate on the mushroom mycelium so these people are wrong i do it all the time, and have used this stratagy with the other ones i just listed and have had success forcing stupid tubs to pin. the verm layer will stabalize the humidity since you went with the old ohmatic style tub these tubs are fail on a small scale :p use the SGFC/mono hybrid with that size tub. look up DoC_T mini mono and youll find it. you can use it on a larger scale but with a big tub i dunno the ohmatics maybe better. I keep it small

The one tub, better looking of the two, has been fruiting for about 14 days now. I re-tapped the bottom 4 holes with micropore tape and left the top two holes with polyfill to see if that will correct the fea. I will mist in the morning and maybe one more time in the afternoons?
The second tub, dryer looking of the two that's been going for a month, should I dunk this one?

It would be better to mist mornings and evenings. Giving it that time allows for evaporation. Which will help your pins... Hopefully. Also Id read some teks on influencing pinning. Tons on here. Sometimes Myc needs a little coaxing.

Well I dunked tub number one for ten hours. Looked pretty blue all over at first but now it is starting to fade, see how it looks in the morn.
Other tub (about 2 weeks old now) I put my micropore tape one the bottom 4 holes and left poly on the top two, misting in the morning and again before bed

Give each tub about ten minutes of direct sunlight each day. I'll bet by the third day it's covered in primordia. RR
