anything man-made is flawed because it tries to be perfect
    #1682683 - 07/03/03 03:30 AM (20 years, 8 months ago)

i was thinking about this the other day, about how nature evolves out of it's ongoing imperfection. a really mind-fucking thought. how mistakes and obstacles are what allows growth, without these we would stagnate... and when man creates something it is created in a limited format because his perspective is biased by living in imperfection... it TRIES to be perfect, that's the fatal flaw. all utopian worlds are destined to have the life sucked out of them quicker than any other. they become faceless, number-run systems in which humanity is lost to the machine.

or maybe i ate too much and have watched the Animatrix one too many times. :syringe: :syringe:

Man is flawed, thus anything man creates will be flawed.

But isnt it true that we have a part of ourselves that is not in fact flawed. The part that leads us to create, and to develop, innovate, endlessly strive to refine structures that increase our quality of life based on this little bit of perfection we do have? To model things and ourselves after this bit of 'flawlesness' we posess? Or do we not truly posses this? It could be an illusion..

it's only a hologram, the only perfect things are existance and energy, but how can anyone prove anything exists, so perfection, and truly, existance are only illusions, ...but just try to prove that.

What is 'flawed'? Man is perfectly imperfect. Man creates imperfection against natural perfection. It's Duality. Like Yin and Yang. Chaos and Entropy, black and white.

So what if we are 'flawed'? who is to judge whether or not that is a bad thing?

Nature evolves out of imperfection and chaos, and so will we. Not now perhaps, but that's what the apocalypse is for. I cant wait.

if humanity wasn't divinely flawed, there would be no free thought just read your various holy texts, just don't believe everything in all of them

I read the holographic universe. I thought it was excellent and did a good job of consolidating a lot of cutting edge-paradigm shifting-scientific facts and fiction. I tend to believe that we do in fact live in a type of holographic universe with holographic minds in holographic time and sciences are steadily proving this here and there.

Its the thing scientists have seen on the edges of their theories and facts for years, but never wanted to admit it could be true! Its the cosmic joke!

I now look at my psychadelic trips through a whole new model and it makes a lot of sense to me. Now I can describe what I *may* be seeing much more easily... at least it adds a whole new angle to look at them from. I recommend this book to any psychadelic enthusiasts.

Sorry for derailing the thread.

The holographic universe is a must read. I however have a belief in my own " Interconnected Chaos Theory ". From my observations as a human I have concluded that as a whole my observable world " Nature " would rather end my life than will for my exsistance to continue for an extended period. This observation really fucks with my head on a daily basis, i mean if you really think about it there is alot of stuff out there just waiting to terminate your exsistance, not to mention basic human needs such as food and shelter, that doesnt make sense, i did mention it. Yet at the same time there is an underlying beauty to the situation, the greatest mystery we call "Death". No one knows how the hell we got here or where we are going, or if we will even turn up anywhere legitimate after our passing.

Everything man created is flawed, for it will one day collapse upon itself. Perhaps if God let man have all the answers to the test, his collapse could be avoided, his life " almost completely easilized". Go out an live in the bush for a month, then you will meet God face to face. If he gives you the cheat sheet be sure to p.m. me.

"Trees are perfect as far as I am concerned"

they would be 200% more perfect if they were genetically engineered to biodegrade waste and turn it into mulch.

Man makes things which are designed to suit a purpose at some determinate time. If the purpose is reached that thing is perfect but as perfection is a relative notion, when this notion changes, that thing must be changed to meet the new standard.
What i mean is, perfection goes along with evolution. Logically we evolve on some of those many things we do but logically we also fail and downgrade others.
Perfection is a myth only known to the ones achieving perfection but who's perfect anyway ?
