Well I agree, but in the respect that things dont really exist autonomously from the minds. You said it, our minds and the universe are one.
Well I think there is some duality to this ultimate reality.
That's an interesting way to see it.

You can assume what I have experienced, but I made no assumptions for MushroomTrip. I was just giving him the proper word for his definition.

I'm not assuming anything, just saying there's a possibility.
And in this regard anyways, everything is a hallucination.

He was basically saying that is an explanation for all experiences that are metaphysical or spiritual in nature, I think, and I would tend to agree with him without any evidence to the contrary.

So I guess you don't believe in ultimate reality?

Where did I say that?
BUT there's a fatal flaw in your question.... WE'VE NEVER CAME TO AN AGREEMENT ABOUT WHAT THAT TERM MEANS, AND COULD VERY WELL BE TALKING ABOUT DIFFERENT THINGS ANYWAYS.
It's the same thing when people on here ramble about 'God' and whether it exists or not, but no one actually creates a unified meaning for 'God' so we're all arguing completely different things.

Yes, semantics is the number one problem with text based communication.
When I say "ultimate reality", I mean reality beyond perception. I think ego death is the closest we can come to experience it.

See the semantic issue is much deeper, because we both have views of 'perception' that need to be sorted out, along with the term 'beyond' along with 'reality'.
It's a never ending hole, and we'll keep arguing the other person just doesnt 'get it' or whatever.
That's tubular that you believe in what you believe in
That's all we can say.

It could be argued that perception is still there, even in ego death. It could be argued its ALL that is still there, even when 'you' are not. Remember, it's a convention of GRAMMAR that sentences must be constructed in such a way as to say, 'it is raining'. That;s not entirely accurate though, cause what is this 'it' we're talking about? We should just say 'raining'. In nature, in reality, there can be 'viewing' or 'watching' occurring without a noun or pro-noun being present for the verb.

i've read quite a bit about it, but have only fired off a few sigils. religion in general interests me.
this is one of the best books i've read, period. this is a highly informed survey of the major philosophical strains of occultism throughout its history.
also, phil hine is another must read author. all of his essays/e-books are free.
enjoy.
